Raising a Toast to Polish Cinema: Deluxe Crystal Vodka Celebrates NYPFF 2025

As proud sponsors of the 20th Anniversary edition of the New York Polish Film Festival (NYPFF), we at Deluxe Crystal Vodka were honored to be a part of an unforgettable week that celebrated the vibrancy of Polish cinema and cultural excellence.

This year’s edition was more than just a film festival—it was a historic milestone, paying tribute to legendary achievements in Polish filmmaking while spotlighting the contemporary voices shaping the future of the industry. For us, being included in such a culturally rich and community-focused event was more than a sponsorship—it was a celebration of shared values, heritage, and artistry.

A Tribute to a Cinematic Giant

One of the most powerful themes of the 2025 NYPFF was its tribute to the late Andrzej Wajda, the legendary Polish director whose influence still resonates globally. Marking the 25th anniversary of Wajda receiving the Honorary Oscar®, the festival presented a six-film retrospective of his most iconic works, drawing sold-out audiences and standing ovations.

We were deeply moved to see the emotional reactions during screenings of masterpieces like Ashes and Diamonds, Kanał, and Man of Iron. These films remind us that Polish cinema has long served as a vessel for memory, resistance, and profound humanity.

A Star-Studded Celebration

As a brand that celebrates elegance and cultural refinement, we were thrilled to witness a festival brimming with unforgettable moments. One of the most emotional highlights was the presentation of the Gold Medal for Merit to Culture – Gloria Artis to Martin Scorsese, the world-renowned director and longtime advocate for Polish cinema. This private ceremony, held at the offices of the Directors Guild of America, was a deeply touching tribute. Scorsese’s enduring admiration for Polish filmmakers like Wajda and Kieslowski made the honor feel incredibly fitting.

Adding a unique spark to the festivities was the presence of acclaimed actress Małgorzata Potocka, who introduced the screening of Wajda’s Everything for Sale. Her personal reflections and behind-the-scenes memories brought the film to life in a new way for audiences. Her charm and sincerity reminded us all of the deep personal connections behind every cinematic masterpiece.

A Historic Milestone

This year’s NYPFF was also a celebration of longevity and growth: 20 years of championing Polish cinema in New York City. Over two decades, the festival has brought hundreds of films, artists, and conversations to audiences hungry for meaningful storytelling and cultural exchange.

At Deluxe Crystal Vodka, we understand the value of legacy. Just as our vodka is crafted with tradition and care, this festival has been shaped over the years by passion, vision, and commitment to excellence. We are especially proud to have poured for guests during the Opening Night Gala and Closing Reception, raising a glass to filmmakers past and present.

Looking Ahead

As we look back on an incredible week of films, panels, and shared moments, we are also looking ahead. We hope to continue our partnership with the New York Polish Film Festival for years to come. There is still so much to celebrate, and so many more stories to tell.

Thank you to the NYPFF team for their dedication, to the filmmakers for their courage and creativity, and to the audience for their unwavering support.

Here’s to cinema. Here’s to culture. Here’s to Poland.

Na zdrowie!
